Oriental Fried Rice

1 cup Gourmet House® White Rice or Organic White Rice
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup slivered cooked roast pork *
1/2 cup celery, finely sliced
1/3 cup green onion and tops, sliced
1/2 cup bean sprouts, drained
1 egg, beaten
ground black pepper
2 Tbsps low sodium soy sauce


* Try this recipe with Carolina®, River® or Water Maid® Medium Grain Rice

Prepare rice according to package directions. Cool. Heat oil in large skillet. Toss in cooked rice. Add meat, vegetables, and egg. Add a little more oil if rice tends to stick. Add soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir 1 minute longer. Serve with additional soy sauce, if desired.

* Cooked shrimp, ham, or chicken may be substituted.
